I expected the book to be a fantasy adventure like “The Chronicles of Narnia,” where children literally travel to another world. But instead, the story was realistic—children staying in the real world, gathering in their own hideout, imagining or dreaming about Narnia rather than entering a magical realm. The narrative develops a bit abruptly at the end, but I can still see why people continue to read this old story and keep talking about it.
